The property is located in the Laconia region of Peloponnesus, Greece approximately five and a half hours from Athens by car. Just outside of the picturesque village of Viglafia, the property looks over the Laconic gulf and has breathtaking views of the island of Elafonisos. The city of Neapoli with its many restaurants and stores is just a fifteen minute drive away. It is strongly recommended that you arrange some form of transportation as public transport is limited in the area. Rental cars are available in Athens and in Monemvasia. Bus transport from various parts of Greece goes to Neapoli but is limited in the area. Air transportation goes to Kithira and Sparta.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

THINGS TO DO

THE BEACH  of Pounta, which is just 650m from the property stretches for 15km ending in the town of Neapoli. It is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing and kite boarding. The sea is almost always calm.

 

 

 

 

THE ISLAND OF ELAFONISOS The beautiful island of Elafonisos is just a fifteen minute ferry ride from Viglafia. Elafonisos has one of the finest beaches in Europe and makes a wonderful and extremely easy daytrip. The small village on the island is very cosmopolitan and has a number of fine seafood restaurants to eat at.

MONEMVASIA The Byzantine stronghold of Monemvasia is just a thirty minute drive from the property. Hidden from below, a whole city waits to be explored and marveled at. Breathtaking views, and historical importance mix with a very cosmopolitan setting filled with shops, artist's galleries and restaurants.

CAVE OF CASTANIA (KASTANEA) The cave of Castania is said to be one of the most colorful and beautiful in all of Europe. Still pristine, visiting the cave is an amazing experience and can be incorporated with a trip to its nearby and totally secluded beach.
